Still Austin Whiskey Co. opened in 2017 as the first grain to glass whiskey distillery within the Austin city limits since prohibition. TEESI Engineering, an Austin-based engineering firm, designed and commissioned the Process Systems for the distillery. At the meeting, TEESI Engineering President Saleem Khan, PE, will present some of the energy and peak demand savings features that were incorporated into the design. Efficiency elements include process heat recapture and reuse, process cooling water temperature optimizations, waste recycling, and chilled water thermal storage. Andrew Braunberg, Still Austin cofounder, will provide an overview of the whiskey production process and tour of the facility.
